Short version: Lumen keeps everything on your Mac. It has no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Your music, your library, and your iPod’s details never leave your computer, and we never see them.

To do its job, Lumen reads and writes files on your Mac and your connected iPod:
/Volumes/<your iPod>/iPod_Control).All of this stays on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
None. Lumen has no telemetry, no crash reporting, no usage tracking, and no accounts. We do not build a profile of you and have no server that receives your music or library.
If you buy Lumen through a store (for example Lemon Squeezy or Paddle), that store processes your payment and contact details under their privacy policy. We may receive your email and name so we can issue a license key. We do not use that information for marketing.
Lumen is fully functional offline. It makes network connections only for:
releases.ipod.rafael.ltd) whether a newer version exists, and downloads it if so. This request includes only what’s technically necessary to fetch a file. No personal data is sent by the app.Lumen modifies your iPod’s library only when you explicitly sync changes, and it writes a backup of the previous database (iTunesDB.lumen.bak) first. This all happens on your hardware; we have no access to it.
Lumen is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with the app and be posted on this website with a new “last updated” date.
